Vote now for Silloth Green to be recognised as one of the nation’s best loved parks

Help us find the country’s favourite parks by voting for yours in the Green Flag Award People’s Choice Awards

This year, more than ever, we have all come to understand just how important it is to have a great park or green space on our doorstep.

They have been a place to escape to, to meet friends in, to exercise in or simply to have a quiet moment in.

Thanks to the tireless work of parks staff and volunteers around the world, this year a record-breaking 2,228 parks and green spaces across the world have been given a Green Flag Award so far – the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.

Now, to celebrate our country’s fantastic parks the public is being asked to vote for their favourite award-winning parks.

You can find details of all the Green Flag Award winners at www.greenflagaward.org. To vote for your favourite, simply find it on the winners’ map and click the vote button. Once you’ve voted, why not encourage others to get involved too?

Voting is now open and closes on November 25, with the top ten winning sites announced in December.

Paul Todd, International Green Flag Award manager for Keep Britain Tidy, said: “This year, probably more than ever, we have all come to understand the importance of our precious parks and green spaces and to value those that have been a lifeline for us in difficult times.

“The People’s Choice Award is your chance to show how much your favourite park means to you. Make your voice heard and vote now.”

Last year saw tens of thousands of people voting for their favourite parks, with winners coming from around the world including The Netherlands, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Germany and of course the UK where the Award originated and which boasts the most Green Flag Award winners of any country.
