Get Involved

Volunteers are an important part of Silloth Green  – from planning and running events, gardening and planting bulbs etc, to taking part in litter picks.

You may be surprised to learn you don’t have to be an expert gardener or an events planner to volunteer on Silloth Green.  Volunteers come from all walks of life

We are incredibly proud of our dedicated volunteers – past and present – who have given their time to ensure Silloth Green is the well-loved community asset it is today.

Silloth Green is a great place to volunteer.  The Friends of Silloth Green team are a friendly, welcoming bunch, so if you would like to know more about becoming a Silloth Green volunteer, we’d love to hear from you.

Friends of Silloth Green are always looking for volunteers to join our excellent band of helpers. If you can spare two hours on a Wednesday morning, then why not pop along to the Community Garden at 10:00am, to lend a hand.  We’d love to see you there.

We hold regular volunteering sessions, spending a couple of hours a week continuing the excellent work that has been started, planting out areas on the Green, pruning and weeding etc.  Please come and join us.  Volunteering is a great way to get outdoors, enjoy some fresh air, blow away the cobwebs and meet like-minded people.  Refreshments are available afterwards.  For more information please see the Friends of Silloth Green page on Facebook.
