The Green

Silloth Green occupies a dramatic location on the West Cumbria Coast with spectacular views over the Solway Firth. It’s one of the largest village greens in the North of England and over the past 150 years has provided a leisure space for a diverse range of activities. Our organisational structure  illustrates who is involved in managing, maintaining and developing use of the Green. The Green achieved Green Flag Award over two consecutive years, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, illustrating the very high standards maintained by all involved.

BMX Track

    Up until Autumn 2011 prior to re-development of the Green with Heritage Lottery Funds, youngsters in Silloth used the old Pines behind the lifeboat station as a make-shift BMX track.
