Information for Volunteers
All volunteers can discuss issues of concern and training needs with the Community Engagement Officer for the Green.
High resolution vests are available to identify volunteers working on the Green. All tools and equipment used should meet the Town Council’s health and safety requirements and be in accordance with the risk assessment of the relevant task.
Volunteer Training
Advice and training is available for all volunteers. More information here.
Volunteer Time sheet
All volunteers are asked to complete a timesheet. It’s important since we use your volunteer hours to ‘financially’ value your work. These hours are then used to match funding received from organisations such as the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Policy Documents for Volunteer Groups wishing to apply to External Funders
Many funders ask that copies of policies be attached to funding applications. The following can be downloaded by groups operating under the Silloth Tourist Action Group (STAG) umbrella, who are applying for funds to support an event on Silloth Green.
- STAG_Equal_Opps_Statement
- STAG_ Vulnerable Adults Protection Policy
- STAG Child Protection Guidance and Policy copy
The Carnival Committee policy documents below are also available for download.
